CAST Commission
The CAST Commission is an initiative of The Hidden Talent Theatre Company to provide a platform for
Christian Artists in Stage Theatre (CAST)
Through this initiative, we anticipate producing one or two plays each year separate from, and in addition to, our mainstream season. These plays will focus specifically on creating new opportunities for Christian artists (directors, actors, writers, etc.), with attention paid to the content of the production, the spiritual convictions of the audience and actors involved, and opportunities for original material. Our original production, Slow to Anger, is a perfect example.
The initiative will also allow us to use funds designated toward this purpose to do research, hold panel discussions, and pursue the development of new material all surrounding the current (and potential) position of the Christian artist in the American theatre.
